Welcome to Soreny, a warm & inclusive emotional community platform. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our iOS application (“Soreny”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the App you agree to the practices below.

Personal Information

We do not require you to provide real names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other directly identifying information to use core community features. If you contact support, we will receive the details you voluntarily supply.

Automatically Collected Information

To operate and improve Soreny we may collect:

• Device identifiers (IDFA only if you consent, device model, OS version)
• Usage metrics (screen taps, session length, feature popularity, crash logs)
• Network information (IP address, inferred region for moderation & performance)

Content & Media

Posts, comments, votes, anonymized voice notes, or images you choose to share are stored so other members can view them. All submissions are tied to a randomized handle unless you opt to reveal additional data.

Third-Party SDKs

We integrate analytics and crash-reporting modules that may collect technical data outlined above. These providers process data solely to help us enhance stability and user experience.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected data to:

• Deliver posts, comments, polls, and media in your preferred language and format
• Keep the community safe through automated moderation tools
• Analyze trends to introduce helpful features (e.g., coping exercises)
• Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

Data is shared only when necessary:

• With trusted service providers bound by confidentiality obligations
• When required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Soreny, our users, or others

Storage Location

Information is stored on industry-standard cloud servers located in the United States and/or European Economic Area with GDPR-compliant hosting partners.

Security Measures

We apply HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed authentication tokens, limited-access databases, and periodic security audits. Despite safeguards, no internet transmission is 100% secure; you use the App at your own risk.

Retention

Community content is retained while your account remains active plus an additional 30-day grace period to allow account recovery. Aggregated analytics are kept for up to 24 months. You may request earlier deletion as described below.

5. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction you can:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correct or delete specific data (via in-app “Delete Account” or by emailing support)
• Opt out of optional analytics/crash reporting in iOS Settings → Privacy → Analytics
• Restrict or object to processing where applicable

Requests are usually processed within 30 days and are free of charge.

6. Children’s Privacy

Soreny is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, please contact us; we will promptly delete such information.

7. International Transfers

If you reside outside the United States, your data will be transferred there for processing. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and similar mechanisms to ensure an adequate level of protection.

8. Policy Updates

We may revise this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced through in-app alerts or email (if provided). Continued use of Soreny after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
